Clockwise: The staircase and pond blend as one making it difficult to know when the ponds ends and the stairs begin. The Tree of Life, once overlooked as people walked through the lobby, is now painted as if it were alive. Rhonda Kimura, local artist, has spent the last few months transforming Baptist Regional Medical Center. Her first mural was an Italian villa on the walls of the critical care unit. The pediatric walls each had a different theme including a park, zoo, circus and classic cars. A lifesized giraffe adorns one of the walls of the pediatrics department.
