A patriotic song is sung by a choir of Hunter Hills Elementary students, conducted by the school's Music Specialist, Jon Oliver. Oliver said the program was not only a salute to our nation's veterans, but also based on the book, "America's White Table," written by Margot Theis Raven. The book is about a tradition of white tables being set in this country on Veterans Day. That tradition honors all men and women who served or serving in the Armed Forces, with a special emphasis on those Missing in Action (MIA) and Prisoners of War (POW). "I wrote her and asked if she would give me permission to adapt it into a play, and she did. She contacted the publisher of the book for permission, and they did, too. So we're doing a play, and today's performance is a world premiere," Oliver noted.
