    The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is conducting a death investigation regarding a London man found dead by his roommate, according to a Laurel County Sheriff’s Department press release.

  • Keavy woman pleads guilty to assault, DUI

    Rachel Hubbard, 38, of Keavy, pleaded guilty in Laurel Circuit Court last week to assault and driving under the influence.  The charges came after a Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, crash north of Corbin.

  • Danny Peace sentenced to 7 years for explosives

    Danny C. Peace, 48, was sentenced to seven years in prison Friday morning in U.S. District Court.  On Dec. 8, 2011, he pleaded guilty to three counts of an indictment

    A Williamsburg couple has been indicted by the Whitley County Grand Jury on charges related to the abuse of a child under 12-years-old, according to Whitley Circuit Court documents.

    A dozen drug dealers were arrested by about 9 a.m. Thursday by a detail of 15 Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies, three deputy U.S. Marshals and two London Police Officers.  The officers left the sheriff’s office just after 6 a.m. in four teams.  They called it Operation Spring Sting.
