A London man was arrested Thursday in connection with the March 29 death of Teresa A. White, 50, according to Kentucky State Police Post 11-London Public Affairs Officer TFC Don Trosper.
Jeffrey Wade Sweeney, 46, was arrested after 7 p.m. by Detective Billy Correll. Sweeney is charged with murder, first-degree arson, first-degree robbery and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.
White’s body was found inside a home at 486 Waterworks Road the day of the fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy determined she died from blunt force trauma.
Sweeney was jailed in the Laurel County Corrections Center.
Correll is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by the London Post’s Arson Detective Brian Lewis.
