CORBIN —

A woman charged with trading her newborn baby for a used pickup truck pleaded guilty in Laurel County Circuit Court Tuesday, according to a court official.
Heather A. Kaminsky, 31, had been charged with human trafficking and unlawful possession of a methamphetamine precursor, according to Laurel County Correctional Center records.
While in court, Kaminsky pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of endangerment of the welfare of a minor.
In July, a confidential source tipped the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department to the trade, which involved a 1999 silver Dodge Dakota. After the trade, Kaminsky reportedly sold the truck for $800 and some methamphetamine.
The baby boy was found in good health at a home near Corbin. He was subsequently removed by a judge’s order.
In late July, Kaminsky was located in Putnam County, Fla. and was brought back to Kentucky to face the charges related to the sale of her son.
Kaminsky is set to be sentenced at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21.
