<p> Special to the<br /> Times-Tribune<br /> Southbound Interstate 75 will remain closed south of Jellico, Tenn., until at least Thursday while crews work to stabilize a section of rock slope near mile marker 143. A section of embankment collapsed in that area on March 8.<br /> Earlier today (Tuesday), the Kentucky Department of Transportation reported that significant traffic backups were observed extending two miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.</p>

<p> Times-Tribune<br /> Staff Report<br /> A London man was killed and a Williamsburg man was critically injured by the same bullet in an accidental shooting early Thursday, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.<br /> The shooting happened after 2 a.m. at a home on Sally&#39;s Branch Road. Witnesses told deputies several friends had gathered when Kevin McElrath, 25, of London, removed the clip from a 45 caliber pistol, which discharged. The bullet struck McElrath in the head, killing him, Root said.</p>
