Special to The Times-Tribune
Bring your closest friends and celebrate the grand opening this Saturday of London’s new Wildcat Harley-Davidson dealership.
The dealership will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and guests may enjoy free popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy while supplies last. Additional food vendors will also be on site.
Additionally, live music will take place from noon to 5 p.m. The JP Mac Band will perform from noon to 1:30 p.m., followed by The Drunk Uncles from 1:45-3:15 p.m., and finally, Stacie Collins will perform from 3:45-5 p.m.
At 1:30 p.m., Harley-Davidson staff will also present plaques to local dignitaries who were present at the official chain-cutting ceremony in June.
Those who attend the celebration may also register for a $500 gift card for the Wildcat dealership. The winner will be drawn at 5 p.m.
Following in the footsteps of Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, located in Maryville, Tenn., Wildcat Harley sells motorcycles, parts and accessories and clothing and also has a state-of-the-art service facility. The dealership, which incorporates features that have made Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson a true “Rider’s Destination,” also has an elaborate Rider’s Lounge, fire pits, massive wall graphics, and a rustic, yet modern appeal.
On June 1, a chain-cutting ceremony took place at the dealership to celebrate the soft opening. Several London area dignitaries were in attendance to help cut the chain.
Wildcat Harley-Davidson holds the largest showroom in the state of Kentucky. The dealership has a new layout and design and retail fixtures that feature specialty metals and handmade wooden pieces. These features, along with the general merchandise and parts and accessories departments, are completely new to the public.
The new dealership is close to 35,000 square feet, with a 17,500-square-foot showroom. Approximately 85-100 motorcycles will be on the sales floor at all times, which are all available for financing.
London’s Wildcat dealership is located at 575 East Hal Rogers Parkway. The dealership is open seven days a week. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
