A Florida-based chain of discount department stores is expected to open a store in Corbin.
The Burke’s Outlet store will be located in the space formerly occupied by Goody’s at Tri-County Square, according to Bruce Carpenter, executive director of Corbin Economic Development Agency.
Renovations to the retail space should begin later this month and the store will likely open later this year, Carpenter said.
According to the company’s website, the store offers brand name clothing as well as shoes, home furnishings and toys at discounted prices.
