Army Reservist PFC M. Andrew Wilson graduated from basic training on Sept. 15 at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
During the nine weeks of training he achieved high scores in the various fields of physical fitness, combat skills, field training exercises and marksmanship in weapons. He also studies Army history, tradition and core values. He has excelled at the goals set for him by the U.S. Army.
He will remain at Ft. Leonard Wood for another nine weeks to continue his AIT training and education in law enforcement in the military police.
Wilson will complete the required training on Nov. 26.
Wilson is the son of J. Re’Nae Wilson; brother of Arizona Wilson; grandson of the late Kenneth M. Wilson, Betty P. Wilson-Harmon and Chuck Harmon; and great-grandson of Mary R. McKnight and the late Joseph K. Wilson of Corbin.
Wilson is a 2008 graduate of Lynn Camp High School.
