Republicans outpaced Democrats in four of six state races in Knox County during Tuesday's general election, according to Knox County Clerk Mike Corey.
According to unofficial results, the governor's and secretary of state races saw victories by democrats, Corey said. Republicans got more votes in the attorney general, auditor, state treasurer and agriculture commissioner races.
Corey said the unofficial voter turnout in Knox County was just over 22 percent, which was slightly higher than he expected.
The tallies from Knox County were as follows:
