Three senatorial candidates have been scheduled for a debate on Monday, April 5 in Barbourville.
Laurel County Republican Chair Bryan Mills announced Friday that so far GOP candidates Trey Grayson, Rand Paul and Bill Johnson have committed themselves to the debate, set for 5 p.m. at the Conway Bowman Chapel at Union College.
It is hosted by Knox, Laurel, Bell and Southern Kentucky chambers of commerce, he said.
The debate is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Darren West at kctreas@barbourville.com.
The day following the debate at Union, The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg will host Karl Rove, a former senior advisor for Pres. George W. Bush. The event will be at the O. Wayne Rollins Center beginning at 7 p.m.
