Presidential Rally held at Corbin High School

CORBIN — Secret Service Agents watched over the crowd inside the Betty Hamilton Center of the Performing Arts at Corbin High School on Wednesday afternoon, as the school’s JROTC Color Guard presented the American flag, and emcee Chace Adkins asked the crowd to stand for the playing of the National Anthem.

It preceded Wednesday afternoon’s Presidential Rally held for Corbin High freshmen and sophomores. A similar rally with speeches, campaign advertising and presentations, was held Wednesday morning for juniors and seniors.

The day began with a motorcade and the candidates campaigning during breakfasts and lunches, along with a press conference with journalism and media students.

The voting will be held today (Thursday) during breakfast and lunch at the school, using a voting machine supplied by Whitley County Court Clerk Kay Schwartz. The results of how the students voted will be announced at the end of school this afternoon.
