The end of the Knox/Corbin reciprocal agreement is a terrible tragedy for the children who have to change schools, on many different levels.
For one, it is going to cause undue trauma to the kids that have to move, emotionally, as well as point out even more the kids whose parents can’t afford to pay for them to stay. Our government is suppose to always do what is best for the children, so therefore I feel this is a time that those who make the rules and regulations have failed our children.
I am thankful that I do live within city limits and that my child can continue to go whether I am able to afford it or not. However, there are so many others not that fortunate, and I pray they have a smooth transition.
I just wonder, is it worth it Knox County officials? Money isn’t everything...
