Corbin Lions Club still accepting donations
The Corbin Lions Club continues to accept donations toward our 64th annual Christmas Basket Program. On Christmas Eve, both Lions Club members and volunteers delivered 216 baskets.

In late October 2012, the world was taken by surprise when Hurricane Sandy struck. Sandy became the largest Atlantic hurricane on record (as measured by diameter with winds spanning 1,100 miles).

Economic development plan needed for progress
We received report cards when we were in school. We receive fitness reports in the Military and performance reviews at work. Employees should understand their job descriptions, objectives, and how performance is measured. Periodic reviews should be conducted to measure progress in meeting objectives.

The 2012 Empty Stocking Fund Giveaway is set for Friday and Corbin Rotary continues to take donations to help support the needy in our community.

Corbin High Band, Boosters give thanks
On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Corbin High School Band hosted the Cumberland Falls Marching Invitational marching band competition at Campbell Field. Twelve bands from southeastern Kentucky came to compete in our competition. For this event to be a success, it required cooperation of many area businesses and groups.
