Not quite the right light

CORBIN — The first of the new downtown period lights was installed Monday — but it’s coming back down. Main Street Manager Sharae Myers said the lights received were not the color the city ordered. One light was installed across from Eubanks Electrical Monday afternoon, but it was only to see how the lights will eventually look, and to determine where the hooks for banners, flags and baskets of flowers should be placed. Myers wasn’t sure how long it would take to have the poles redone in the correct color — a dark, hunter green instead of the brighter green in which they arrived.
