Corbin police ask public for information

Corbin police are investigating the burglary of Long John Silver’s Saturday night and asking for the public’s help.

Officers were called to the scene at about 2 a.m. Sunday by employees at the nearby Pizza Hut on the East Cumberland Gap Parkway.

“Some people from Pizza Hut were closing up and just happened to see the back door was open,” said Sgt. William Rose.

Upon arrival, patrolmen Mike Carroll and Rob Hodge found the restaurant’s back door open and a side window broken. Rose said police believe the suspect or suspects entered through the window.

He said “some items were taken,” but police weren’t releasing what the robbers managed to steal.

Anyone with information on the robbery should contact Rose or Captain Tim Helton at the Corbin Police Department at 528-1122.
