One person was killed in an early morning fire on New Zion Road in Whitley County, Tuesday.
According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley removed the victim from the scene and identification is pending.
The fire was reported to the Whitely 911 dispatch at 6:21 a.m.
KSP Detectives Colan Harrel and Post 10 arson investigator Josh Bunch are investigating with the assistance of the Whitley County Coroner and the Woodbine and Rockholds Volunteer Fire Departments. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
