An East Bernstadt man was sentenced Tuesday on three counts of incest and a count of first-degree sexual abuse.
Donald Ray McNeeley, 64, will serve three 10-year sentences concurrently and one two-year sentence consecutively for a total of 12 years in prison.
McNeeley was sentenced in Laurel Circuit Court. Each of the 10-year sentences are on incest charges.
The two-year sentence is for sexual abuse in the third-degree.
McNeeley was charged in three indictments in May 2008.
In one of the cases, he was charged with first-degree sexual abuse for a December 2001 incident. In that incident, he allegedly subjected a child under 12 years old to sexual contact.
The same indictment also charged him with third-degree rape, coming from a February 2007 incident in which he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a child under 16. The indictment also charged McNeeley with incest.
In another indictment, he was charged with four counts of first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse, three counts of first-degree sodomy and four counts of incest.
Those incidents reportedly happened from November 1997 through the year 2000.
Those acts were reportedly committed with a second child who was younger than 12 years old through the entire period.
And a third indictment charged that in August 2007, McNeeley was arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl who was under his care.
According to the police report, the alleged victim called police and reported that McNeeley had raped her. She managed to escape and tried to get to her mother’s home.
McNeeley reportedly followed her in his truck and was stopped by police. Kentucky State Trooper Steve Walker reported, “McNeeley was found wearing only his underwear and was very intoxicated at the time of his arrest.”
