Traffic delays may occur on I-75 in southern Corbin

CORBIN — Special to The Times-Tribune

Efforts to clear roadside benches along I-75 in southern Corbin may result in intermittent traffic delays over the next two weeks.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews will be working alternately along the shoulders of both the northbound and southbound lanes at mile point 24 (adjacent to Exit 25) through Oct. 12.

Shoulder closures will be in effect, and traffic will be stopped completely at times. Drivers should use caution, reduce speed and be aware of possible delays and traffic backups.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

Road condition reports for District 11 routes are available by calling 511 or by visiting the 511 travel and traffic information web site at http://511.ky.gov.
