A three-car crash Friday sent two people to area hospitals.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, deputies Robbie Grimes and Josh Scott were called to investigate the crash, which was on U.S. 25 at the intersection with Fariston Road.
Root said that a Suzuki SUV, driven by Charlotte Perry, 48, of Lily, was headed northbound on U.S. 25 when she made a left turn.
She turned into the path of a Ford Ranger headed southbound, driven by Sandra Carol, 52, of East Bernstadt.
That collision ended up striking yet a third vehicle, a GMC pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Patric Haddix, of Jackson. Haddix was stopped at the Fariston Road stop sign with the intent of turning onto U.S 25, according to Root.
Perry received multiple injuries in the crash and was transported to St. Joseph London hospital for treatment. She was treated there and released.
Carol also suffered multiple injuries in the crash. She was transported to Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin for treatment. Her condition was unknown at press time.
Haddix was not injured.
Grimes and Scott continue their investigation into the crash. They were assisted at the scene by London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and the Lily Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department.
