CORBIN — Over 500 lose electricity in Knox

More than 500 residents in Knox County were without power, phone and cable Wednesday afternoon after a logging truck pulled down a utility pole and several power lines, according to Woodbine Volunteer Fire Department Chief Rick Fore.

BRMC to change name

Naptist Healthcare System Inc. announced Wednesday it has changed its name to Baptist Health to reflect the scope of services it offers at facilities throughout the state.

Corbin sued by SMG over Arena management

The City of Corbin is being sued in federal court by the company who originally managed The Arena.

Attorneys for lawmakers who successfully sued to have a legislative re-districting plan ruled unconstitutional have negotiated an amount for their legal fees which a Franklin Circuit Judge ordered the legislature to pay.

Police say burglar fled in a cab

Law enforcement authorities arrested 28-year-old Bradley Hill of Knox County on Wednesday afternoon, about 20 minutes after a burglary in progress was reported at the home west of London.
