CORBIN — Times-Tribune Staff Report

A tractor-trailer loaded with 40,000 pounds of satellite dishes turned over in east London Tuesday morning.

According to Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer Charles Garland, at about 10 a.m. the tractor-trailer rig, owned by USA Trucking, Inc., was coming from loading the dishes at the Highlands Diversified warehouse.

When it was making a right turn from Burley Avenue onto Tobacco Road and eventually to the Hal Rogers Parkway, the trailer’s wheels dropped into a ditch alongside the road.

The entire rig lay down on its right side.

Its driver, Lamont Liggins, 47, of Indianapolis, was not injured in the incident, Garland said.

The cleanup of the area took about eight hours, he said.

The load was bound for Carlisle, Penn.
