CORBIN — Laurel collision kills two

Two people inside a car were killed, while two others inside an SUV were seriously injured, after a two-vehicle collision in Laurel County Tuesday afternoon.

17-year-old arrested for organized crime

A 17-year-old female remains in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Facility after Laurel County Sheriff’s Detective Jason Back discovered she was involved with four adults in trafficking crystal meth, marijuana and assorted prescription pain pills.

Empty Stocking Fund signups higher this year

A total of 687 children in the Corbin area have been signed up for this year’s Southeast Kentucky Empty Stocking Fund.

Work on Main St., Kentucky Ave. continues today

Wednesday’s street work on both Main Street and Kentucky Avenue will continue today (Friday), according to city officials.
