Police seek Chevy involved with break-ins

A green Chevrolet Avalanche that is missing a tailgate that was seen at the scenes of recent vehicle break-ins in Corbin is being sought by police, according to Corbin Police Detective Rusty Hedrick.

About five break-ins happened last week throughout the city and the thief or thieves took items like toolboxes. The theft reports happened at various times during the day and ranged from Engineer Street to the movie theater along Cumberland Falls Highway.

Video surveillance from area businesses captured the image of the Avalanche, which Hedrick said might be connected to the thefts.

Anyone with information about the Avalanche or the thefts is asked to call the Corbin Police Department at 606-528-1122. Callers can remain anonymous.
