A 74-year-old woman was arrested by Corbin police Thursday on drug charges.

Naomi Mize, of 604 1/2 W. Fifth Street, allegedly sold four Lorcet tablets, known generally as hydrocodone pills, to an informant working with police. She was charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and trafficking within 1,000 yards of a school.

Lt. Rob Jones said most homes within the Corbin city limits are within 1,000 yards of a school.

Jones said no other drugs were found at her home.

Also arrested was 22-year-old Jesse Gabbard of Corbin, who was staying at Mize’s home and was wanted on a 2008 felony shoplifting warrant from Whitley County.

Sgt. Glenn Taylor is continuing the investigation.
