London’s Hearthside Food Solutions cookie factory in London is adding a production line.
The line will include a new oven and will add some 80 jobs.
On Wednesday, Gov. Steve Beshear’s office announced the $1.4 million project.
Currently, about 750 full-time workers and about 300 part-time workers are at the factory, said Nelson Griffin.
Hearthside has 13 manufacturing plants in six states including the London factory.
Tax incentives have been preliminarily approved by the state up to $1.2 million.
Hearthside opened in London in May 2010, following the closing of Consolidated Baking in the building, which had opened in 1995.
