Area burn bans lifted

CORBIN — By Becky Killian / Managing Editor

Recent rains have led to the lifting of burn bans in two counties.

As of Thursday, burn bans were lifted in both Knox and Whitley counties, according to the fiscal court offices. However, residents of those counties are urged to exercise caution when burning items.

The burn ban remains in place for Laurel County. Anyone found violating the ban could be fined.
