A Corbin soldier was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 19, for thefts from London’s National Guard Armory, according to Kentucky State Police Post 11-London Public Affairs Officer TFC Don Trosper.
Christopher L. Bunch, 32, was arrested following a two month investigation by KSP Detective Richie Baxter.
The investigation was requested by the armory after an internal investigation was conducted into the missing items, Trosper said.
Trosper said Bunch stole the gear he was in charge of overseeing over about a two-year period. Several items were recovered and Trosper said Bunch admitted he had taken them.
Bunch was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000. He was jailed in the Laurel County Corrections Center.
Baxter is in charge of the investigation.
