Man arrested for attempted murder in Gray
Allegedly cut 50-year-old girlfriend’s throat with knife Sunday morning

According to a report from Knox County Sheriff John Pickard, a 50-year-old woman was found Sunday morning in the Gray community with her throat cut.
The victim, whose name was not released, reportedly made a call to 911, and Deputy Roy Gambrel, along with Knox County EMS, responded to the scene.
After investigation, officials arrested Gregory W. Moore for attempted murder charges.
According to the report, Moore allegedly used a knife to cut his girlfriend’s throat when she arrived home Sunday morning.
Moore was lodged in Knox County Detention Center for the charges.
The victim was transported to Baptist Regional Medical Center and was reportedly flown later to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Deputy Gambrel is continuing the investigation.
