Times-Tribune Staff Report
London’s Woman’s Club and the Laurel County Historical Society are making plans for London’s 28th annual Sights and Sounds of Christmas crafts bazaar.
The event, held annually on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, features crafts and other hand-fashioned merchandise including baked goods.
Anglee Smith, speaking for the Woman’s Club, said the groups have vacant booth spots and those interested can contact her at 864-5817.
The bazaar is used by the organizations as a fundraiser for their projects. Smith said the Woman’s Club will use the income for scholarships it awards.
The Historical Society, in the process of remodeling its new headquarters on London’s Third Street that was built in 1954 to house the Laurel County Health Department, plans to use its income for that.
The event will be held in the London Community Center on South Main Street. Admission for all over 12 years old is $2.
Hours on Friday will be from noon to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
