Two Democrats, 39 Republicans and three non-partisans have thus far filed for nomination in Laurel County.
Lawrence Kuhl, a Democrat, is the only candidate so far for judge-executive.
In the race for county clerk are Dean Johnson, James R. Adams and Neil Warren.
Joyce Garland Parker is the only candidate for property valuation administrator.
The sheriff’s race for nomination is crowded with five candidates: Jerry Hollon, Larry Lewis, Jack Riley, John Root and Arville Hollin.
The jailer’s race includes Lonnie Owens, Ronald D. Carter and Jeff Smallwood.
Jodi L. Albright is the only candidate right now for county attorney.
First district magistrate candidates are Joey Andes, Mike Samples, Roy C. Crawford and Norman Johnson.
Second district candidates are Republicans Billy Karr, Danny Smith and Jim Wyatt, along with Democrat David E. Moore.
Fourth district candidates are Michael Price, Steve Noe, Jeff Book, Joyce Brummett, James Napier and Jeffery D. McQueen.
Fifth district candidates are Billy B. Oakley and David Bruner.
Eddy Sizemore is the only candidate in the sixth district.
For first district constable, Duane Hess, Tim May and Roy Ball are running.
In the second district, David A. Lanham is running, as is Eldon Brown in the third.
Ernie Lambert, Ralph Phillips and Justin Noe are running in the fourth.
Fifth district hopeful constables are Charlie Johnson and Carl R. Cheek.
Filing as non-partisan candidates for London city council are Nancy. W. Vaughn, Timothy Smith and Sharon J. Benge.
