Carl David Brown, 55, was arrested Tuesday after a Monday investigation indicated that a fire at a Lily home was probably arson.
Brown was arrested and charged by Kentucky State Police arson investigator Detective Brian Lewis, who conducted Monday’s investigation.
Lewis determined in his investigation that the fire at 93 Hammock Road was intentionally set.
Brown was taken to the Laurel County jail.
Lewis was assisted by the Lily Fire Department and continues the investigation.

Missing Whitley man’s body recovered
At 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, the body of 63-year-old Richard D. “Dick” Martin was recovered by rescuers, on the third day of their search in rural Whitley County.
