An unnamed Laurel County teenager is being treated at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for third-degree burns of his legs.
The incident happened about 1.7 miles south of London on KY 229.
Officials say he was apparently burned while working on his all-terrain vehicle.
They said gasoline was apparently ignited in the process.
The incident happened Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m.
He was flown by helicopter from a landing site near the Camp Ground school.
No further information was released.
