A Knox grand jury has indicted Gregory Moore, 51, of Gray, on a charge of attempted murder and first-degree assault.
Moore had allegedly cut the throat of his girlfriend, Mildred Hayden, 50, at a home on Dixon Drive at about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.
She was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Hayden was reportedly seated in a chair when her throat was cut.
Moore reportedly had the lock-blade knife apparently used in the assault in his pocket when sheriff’s deputies arrived.
Moore is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.
Joseph Napier, 27, of Flat Lick, and Jerry Smith, 27, of Barbourville, were indicted on first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault.
On about Sept. 12, the two adults and two minors allegedly broke into a home and assaulted two persons at the home.
Dirk D. Broughton, 49, of Barbourville, was indicted on a charge of second-degree assault. He allegedly hit a man on the head with the butt of a shotgun. He was also charged with first-degree persistent felony offense (PFO).
Brandon Matthew North, 28, of Lily, was charged on two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
In other indictments, Eddie Baker, 47, of Corbin, theft by unlawful taking, $500 to $10,000.
James Scott Shelby, 23, of Rockholds, four counts second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and four counts of theft by deception under $500 and second-degree PFO.
Issac Mills, 69, of Lexington, making methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree PFO.
Earnest McIntyre, 46, of Gray, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
Johnny Rice, 57, and Gary Rice, 31, of Barbourville, J. Rice charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school and first-degree PFO. G. Rice trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school and second-degree PFO.
Benjamin Strong, 32, of Greenroad, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and second-degree PFO.
Bobby Garland, 26, of Lily, second-degree and third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking $500 to $10,000 and first-degree PFO.
WIlliam Hensley, 27, and Curtis Hensley, 27, of Gray, first-degree burglary, theft of a firearm, theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more and first-degree criminal mischief.
Jimmy Johns, 19, of Corbin, second-degree burglary, falsely reporting an incident and theft by unlawful taking less than $300.
James Huff, 41, of Gray, April M. Layne, 31, of Coalmont, Tenn., and Janice Kilgore, 49, of Williamsburg, second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more by taking a safe containing money, jewelry and other valuable items.
Timothy Lunsford, 28, of Hinkle, third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking under $500 and public intoxication.
And Christopher R. Willingham, 31, of Louisville, flagrant non-support and first-degree PFO.
