CORBIN — Tourism denies library request

A planned horse and carriage tour with Halloween tales to go along with the ride was stopped in the saddle Monday after the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission denied the request made by the Corbin Public Library.

Laurel pizza deliveryman gets robbed

A pizza deliveryman was the victim of a robbery Sunday night in Laurel County, and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the person who did it.

KY 3422 to be reduced to one lane

KY 3422 (Becks Creek Road) in Williamsburg will be reduced to one lane near the Main Street junction through Wednesday.

Library looks to continue upward trends

The Corbin Public Library has seen an increase in usage by its patrons and now its board is looking at ways to continue that trend.



Two more years before citywide recycling

With increased landfill rates and recycling center storage at full-capacity, the City of London has a plight with trash.  City officials are urging citizens to recycle more as they look towards citywide, curbside recycling within the next two to three years.
