CORBIN —
Special to The Times-Tribune
Southbound I-75 will be reduced to one lane at the Laurel-Whitley County line (Lynn Camp Bridge, mile point 27.9) until further notice.
The lane closure was recommended by KYTC bridge inspectors after they identified a crack in the bridge’s steel structure affecting the right lane. The right lane will remain closed until repairs are complete.
The speed limit in the immediate area has been reduced to 55 mph.
The adjacent northbound I-75 bridge has also been reduced to one lane since Thursday because of similar issues.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to drive safely when traveling through the area.
Road condition reports for District 11 routes are available by calling 511 or by visiting the 511 travel and traffic information web site at http://511.ky.gov.
