A Corbin woman faces charges after being discovered on a Laurel Lake Road North property Tuesday.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Robbie Grimes and Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter were dispatched to check on an individual and discovered Patti J. Bennett, 39, of Douglas Avenue trespassing on the property.
Further investigation revealed Bennett was carrying a clear plastic container with 30 pills inside, according to Sheriff John Root.
Bennett was arrested and jailed in the Laurel County Detention Facility facing charges of first degree criminal trespass and carrying prescribed controlled substances not in a proper container.
According to PAO Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the individual deputies were checking on reported no other problems.
