Roy L. McVey, 76, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Otis and Sallie McVey; his wife: Geneva McVey; a daughter: Debbie McVey and a brother: James McVey.
Survivors include a nephew Roy loved like a son, Kaloyd McVey (Goldie); a very special friend/brother, Walter Allen; a sister-in-law, Wilma Noe; nephew, Joe McVey (Ruth); two nieces, Marla Wright (Mickey) and Deana Davis (Phil); two stepdaughters: Shirley McFadden (Logan) and Carol Lakes (Forest); four great-nephews, five great-nieces, seven great-great-nephews, four great-great-nieces and many other friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. McVey will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Corbin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Mosher officiating. Interment will follow in the Felts Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. McVey will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Corbin Funeral Home.
