CORBIN —
John F. Wilkerson, 69, of Mount Washington returned to his Heavenly Father on Dec. 13, 2012.
Mr. Wilkerson was a member of Central Baptist Church in Corbin and a charter member of Eastern Gate Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, also a retiree of CSX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Virginia Wilkerson.
Mr. Wilkerson leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Beverly Wilkerson; daughter, Laura Carter (Bill); sons, Brian Wilkerson, Brad Wilkerson (Len); brother, Jimmy Wilkerson; sister, Suzanne Wilkerson; grandchildren, Rachel Robinson, Josh Carter, Victoria Carter; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Micah, Josiah, Hannah and Elijah.
Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home ( Preston Highway at Brooks Road ) with cremation to follow.
Friends may pay their respects from 5-8 p.m. today (Monday) and after noon on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst. Expression of sympathy can be made to Central Baptist Church or K.O.D.A. www.subfuneralhome.com.
