CORBIN —
J.D. (Jake) Bowling, of Corbin, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 46 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age. He was born on January 16, 1966 in Laurel County.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Joe David Bowling. He was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Perry Bowling, of Corbin; daughter, Barbi Louise Moses (Jonathan), of Corbin; parents, Walter and Freda Bowling, of London; two grandchildren, Hagan J.D. Moses and Isaac Moses, both of Corbin; four sisters, Betty Allen (Charles), Debbie Ann Bowling (Tom), Rosemary Gentry (Bobby), and Vickie Wardrup, all of London; five brothers, James Bowling (Debra Kay), Bobby Bowling (Tonya), Johnny Wardrup, and Edward Bowling (Marlyn), all of London, and Walter Bowling Jr. (Charlotte), of Lily; 17 nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Eugene Gentry officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Perry Cemetery at Little Wolf Creek.
