NANCY —
Cova Allen Johnson, 77, of Nancy, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Born in Gray, he was a son of William R. and Lizzie Perry Johnson. He had been a union auto worker for Ford Motor Co. and belonged to UAW Local No. 863.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son Allen Johnson, a sister Sylvia Harmon and her husband Fred Harmon.
Cova is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Ellis Johnson; three children: Mindy Cushard, Lizbeth Ann Wilkerson and husband David, and Scott William Johnson; four grandchildren: Charles Allen Mays, Joshua Allen Johnson, Rachel Lauren Johnson, and Brooke Emily Johnson; a brother James Earl Johnson and wife Muriel, a sister Wanda Wooten and husband Arvil; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chris Jasper officiating.
Interment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
