Glennis Carroll Croley, of Williamsburg, departed this life on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was 71 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age. He was born on Sept. 2, 1941, in Whitley County, to the late Lee Croley and Hazel Smith Croley. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, E.J. Miller and mother-in-law, Bessie Miller. He was a member of the Emlyn Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Croley, of Williamsburg; one daughter, Tammy Marie Croley, of Williamsburg; one grand dog, Sadie; one sister, Christine Whitehead (Ed), of Louisville; one brother, Charles Croley (Jackie), of Louisville; sisters-in-law, Beverly Broyles (Jack), of Chattanooga, Tenn., Sharon Mack (Tootie) of Pleasant View, Wilma Rountree, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Nadine Perry, of Williamsburg; one brother-in-law, Johnny Miller (Lori), of Williamsburg; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Long officiating. Following a 10 a.m. graveside service on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, he will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery. Richard Mack, Craig Mack, Stuart G. Mack, Todd Moses, Scott Broyles and Tommy Wilson will serve as pallbearers.
