Charles Dixon

CORBIN —

Charles E. Dixon, 86, of Covington, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Rosedale Green, in Latonia. He was a retired conductor for the CSX Railroad, a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 345 F&AM, the Indra Consistory of the Scottish Rite in Covington, Oleika Shrine in Lexington, and Rosedale Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Bernice Gentry, Johnnie Perry, and Joyce Tavernier.

Survivors include his sister, Jean (Paul) Bass, of Winter Park, Fla.; his companion, Frances Fuller, of Florence; his extended family, John Fuller, Barb Fuller, Caroline (Tim Halsey) Fuller and Teresa (Mike) Welch; and four extended grandchildren and three extended great grandchildren.

Visitation 10:30-11:30 a.m. and funeral 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, all at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, 214 W. Southern Ave, Latonia and graveside services 4 p.m. Saturday at Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin. Memorials to Shriners for Crippled Children, 3229 Burnett Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
