Fate Cox Jr., of Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at his home. He was 70 years, 8 months, and 23 days of age. He was born on Feb. 2, 1942, in Whitley County, to the late Jess Cox and Delphia Jones Cox. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Dean.
He is survived by wife, Pauline Cox, of Williamsburg; eight daughters, Phyllis Whitehead (Danny), Wanda Miracle (William), Barbara Leach (Michael), Linda Partin (Terry), June Price (James), Tresa Moore (Odie), Lisa Petrey (Eddie), Jamie McKiney (Billy); 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Michel Hamblin (Charlie), of Enon, Ohio, Ardella Hatfield, of Emlyn; and Leona Stewart (Joe), of Crossville, Tenn.; three brothers, Bobby Cox (Shirley), of Williamsburg, Walker Cox (Barbara), of Emlyn, and Clifford Cox (Wilma), of the Wolf Creek Community, Williamsburg; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Cox officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Partin, Walker Lee Cox, Joe Petrey, Robert Weaver, Bo Dean, Russell Jones, JR Cox, Daniel Whitehead and Joe Prewitt.
