SOUTH LONDON – The Corbin Junior League All-Stars got off to a hot start and picked up a 13-3 win over South London in five innings on Sunday.
Jaxon Stewart set the pace early for Corbin with a two-run triple. Tanner Barnes hit an RBI single and Drew Carter scored to give Corbin a 4-0 advantage.
Michael May, Cole Brock and Ryan VanNorstran all pitched for Corbin. May and Brock each struckout two batters and VanNorstran fanned four batters to close out the game.
Corbin led 6-3, but exploded in the fourth inning with five runs to take a 13-3 lead and put the game out of reach.
Corbin will face North Laurel today at 6 p.m. at the South London Little League fields. The games were moved to South London due to rain.

The Corbin Lady Redhounds went into Thursday’s game against Middlesboro riding a five-game win streak and winners of seven of the past nine. The streak didn’t last though, as the Lady Yellow Jackets outplayed Corbin to a tune of 10-0 in five innings.
