PERRY CENTRAL — North Laurel’s inconsistent ways continued during first round action of the WYMT Mountain Classic Tuesday.
The Jaguars couldn’t get on track offensively and were limited to under 55 points for the fourth straight game during their 43-40 loss to Breathitt County.
“It was a very disappointing loss,” North Laurel coach Brad Sizemore said. “It was definitely a game I thought we should have won.
“We had a lot of opportunities down the stretch of the game and just couldn't get it done,” he added. “Hopefully we will bounce back Thursday and get a win.”
The Jaguars (9-8) trailed 11-5 after the first quarter, but began nibbling away at the Bobcats’ lead. North Laurel trailed 33-30 going into the fourth quarter, but couldn’t pull out the win.
Kendrick Henson led the Jaguars with 10 points while Marcus Carson followed with an eight-point effort.
