South Laurel Rallies to knock off Knox Central, 48-45

SOUTH LAUREL — Konnie Snyder’s South Laurel Lady Cardinals stared down an eight-point deficit (37-29) with 7:21 remaining in the fourth quarter before pulling out a 48-45 come- from-behind win over 13th Region foe Knox Central Tuesday.

Panthers fall at home to Wayne County, 62-57

KNOX CENTRAL — Knox Central was without the services of guard Matt Barger Tuesday, but still managed to almost knock off 12th Region foe Wayne County.

Lady Redhounds pick up road 59-35 win over Middlesboro

MIDDLESBORO — The Corbin Lady Redhounds improved to 8-5 on the season after upending Middlesboro Tuesday, 59-35.

Griffith scores 30 points during W’burg win over Garrard

WILLIAMSBURG — Patrick Robinson’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets stopped a three-game skid by knocking down nine three-pointers while hitting 21-of-30 shot attempts from the charity stripe during their 84-64 win over Garrard County.

McFarland leads Wildcats past K.S.D.

DANVILLE — The Lynn Camp Wildcats seemed as fresh as ever despite playing their fifth game in a week  Tuesday during their 71-33 win over the Kentucky School for the Deaf.

Hinkle: “As of today, we’re going to have the tournament ...”

Despite several rumors circulating about the possible cancellation of the 2012 Cumberland Falls Invitational Tournament, the tournament’s director, Benny Hinkle, said the show will go on.
