CORBIN —

The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats fell in straight sets (12-25, 19-25 and 11-25) to McCreary Central Monday, but despite the loss, head coach Cody Dixon said he sees a huge improvement in his team of late.
"I think just confidence-wise, the girls are growing as a team," Dixon said. "Since we got a few wins under our belt, they're going in thinking they have a chance to beat some of these teams from the start.
"Before, it was almost as if they felt like they had no chance at even playing with them, but a few wins can give you some confidence," he added.
The loss was an improvement over last year's effort against McCreary Central. Dixon said he wasn't sure if the team scored more than five points against the Lady Raiders.
"I really don't think we scored more than five points in any of our games against them last season," Dixon said. "That just shows that we are improving with every match and hopefully the girls can just keep gaining confidence."
