MIDDLESBORO — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcat volleyball team continues to make strides after beginning the season with a 0-4 record.
The Lady Wildcats picked up a 25-18, 25-8 and 25-23 over Middlesboro Saturday while defeating Red Bird due to a forfeit before falling to Jackson County in three sets (25-14, 25-6 and 25-18) in the finals of the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament.
The loss to the Lady Generals dropped Lynn Camp to 5-5 overall, but coach Cody Dixon was pleased with his team’s effort during tournament play.
“I thought we played well,” he said. “You’ve got to lose one before you win one and now the girls have the experience, and I really believe we will have a good chance of winning the tournament next year.”
