LEXINGTON — The Corbin Redhound golf team placed fourth out of 19 participating teams this past weekend in the 5-Star Lafayette General Invitational.
West Jessamine took home first place honors by shooting a 287 while St. Xavier (Green) shot a 297 to finish second, St. Xavier (Gold) finished with a 304 to claim third place with Corbin (307) and Lexington Catholic (307) rounding out the top five.
St. Xavier’s (Gold) Stephen Stallings captured first place honors in tournament with a 67 while West Jessamine’s Travis Rose (67), Scott County’s Billy Tom Sargent (68), Corbin’s Connor Maguet (68), West Jessamine’s Fred Allen Meyer (70) and St. Xavier’s (Green) Cooper Musselman (70) followed.
Corbin’s Cody Ellis placed tied for 22nd with a 77 while Alex Davis turned in a 79, which was good enough for a 29th place finish. Both Luke Cooney and Henry Moore tied for 49th place by shooting an 83.
